12.5 PROBLEMS IN THE CLASSIFICATION OF DISK-SHAPED GALAXIES' HALOS

Аннотация

Thispaperpresents the result of a quantitativeassessment of the ratio of the halomassto the totalmass of stars is given.Weclassifygalactichalosintofiveclassesbased on theratio of the mass of the haloand the totalmass of the stars. According to ourcatalog, 28%ofdiskgalaxieshave low-masshalos,23% are moderatelymassive,20% are semi-massive,13% are massive, and16% are supermassive.

Halo classification varies significantly depending on the cosmic web type. Halos are classified as knot, filament, sheet, and void halos based on the eigenvalue decomposition of the velocity shear tensor. The peculiar velocities of a fixed number of neighboring halos determine the velocity field, and the spatial derivatives are calculated using a kernel borrowed from smoothed particle hydrodynamics.
